MY BACKGROUND
I was born in Iran in a Muslim family. I lived in Iran until 2002 when I left Iran to study in the UK. I finished my studies in Computer Aided Engineering. After which I started working in a video production studio in London. There I learnt and also gained experience in video editing, camera work and some graphic design. I worked at that studio for five years before joining IHOP-London as a full-time intercessory missionary. Current;y I serve at IHOP-London under the ministry and leadership of Prs. Elcio and Jacqueline Lodos, the directors of IHOP-London.
A MUSLIM COMING TO CHRIST
I first experienced Jesus in 2003 where I felt the joy of worship. I have to say as a Muslim I have never experienced worshiping God before. It was truly exciting for me to be able to worship God. It’s a very distant idea for a Muslim to do so, especially when it is mixed with music. I have to say that was the first time I felt attracted to Christianity. The second time was when I had the revelation that I can call my God, ‘my Father’. I remember the night that this came to be a reality in my life; I could not sleep for I was so excited and could not stop calling Him, 'my Father'. How glorious, the creator of the universe has become my Father. He is pleased with me and loves me with an unconditional love.
AN INTERCESSORY MISSIONARY (A MISSIONARY WHOSE MAIN OCCUPATION IS INTERCESSION)
Anointing and Life church, my local church, is where I first met Jesus and also where the idea of a 24/7 house of prayer was first born. It’s originally a Brazilian church. Many time the question arose in my mind what why the Lord has directed me to a Brazilian church, which I do not even know the language, here in London. I have to say, as the years went by and IHOP-London was born I better understood the reason that I am here; An Iranian in London in a church with a Brazilian origins. I have to say it caused me to learn the language and now I speak and understand Portuguese language fluently. I am currently translating all services into Farsi for the Iranian community here at IHOP-London.
People may ask why I left a well paid job to spend my time at the Prayer Room! As an intercessor there is no other place that I can see my life more relevant to God's purposes. There is great need in this nation and the nations of the world for intercessors. Those who do not keep silence till they see God's promises manisfested on the earth. God does not do anything without participating with us. Therefore, He has been calling those who minister to him in the place of worship and intercession. Being an Intercessory Missionary is partnering with God to bring forth His purposes on the earth.
IS JESUS, GOD?
For a man to say a prophet is God is blasphemy. I do not believe that Jesus was a prophet, a teacher and then we have given him the praise and worship that is due to God alone and therefore blaspheming the name of God. However, I do not see any problem with the Almighty God to become like a man in His unsearchable wisdom. Who am I to say that God cannot become a man. Therefore, I do believe that Jesus is the Lord and saviour. He was not created 2000 years ago, but He took on flesh 2000 years ago to fulfill the desire of the Father. The desire of the Father has been to reveal Himself to humanity and join us back once more. This He has fulfilled in Jesus. It is now my life time journey to discover His amazing wisdom and heart. MY FAMILY
Ever since I accepted Jesus, I started to speak to my family. After two years by the work of the Holy Spirit and a series of dreams now my mother, my sister, my oldest brother and their spouses have all accepted Jesus. I will leave their identity hidden while they live in Iran faithfully.
LIFE VISION
I've been convinced by the Holy Spirit time after time about my calling. I have been marked as an intercessor for such a time as this. I content daily for the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit and desire that place of intimacy and oneness with the Lord. Truly, nothing else can satisfy me as much as partnering with the great plan of the Almighty. I consider this a great privilege for being called out of love, empowered by grace to stand with the great Intercessor, with one voice calling forth His promises and hastening His return. I pray that this small testimony may touch your heart.
